Honoring academic brilliance, UniKL shone a spotlight on 30 exceptional children of its staff who had excelled in the 2022 Malaysian Certificate of Education (SPM) examinations. These young achievers, who attained a commendable minimum of 6A and some even reached the remarkable feat of 11A, were lauded for their unwavering dedication and relentless pursuit of excellence. The ceremony not only celebrated the academic prowess of these outstanding students but also underscored UniKL’s longstanding tradition of honoring the scholastic achievements of staff members’ children, a tradition steeped in history since 2011.
“I extend my highest congratulations and praise to the children, as well as to all the parents, for this achievement. I pray that these children will achieve even greater success and continue to make their parents and families proud. We at UniKL are also grateful for the achievements of these children and hope that they aspire to continue their education at UniKL in the future. UniKL welcomes all of you to be part of the UniKL family” said Chairman Universiti Kuala Lumpur, YB Dato’ Sri Sh Mohmed Puzi Sh Ali.
In addition to celebrating academic achievements, UniKL demonstrated its commitment to employee welfare by distributing zakat contributions. Despite originating from the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Council (MAIWP), these contributions were extended to eligible UniKL staff from all 12 UniKL campuses, emphasizing the institution’s inclusive approach.
“Majlis Penghargaan Anak-Anak Cemerlang 2022 dan Penyerahan Sumbangan Zakat” event at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) on 7th February 2024 expressed gratitude for academic achievements and distributed zakat contributions to its staff members. Attendees were welcomed with warm regards, and appreciation was extended to the Group Human Capital Division of UniKL for organizing the Ceremony of Excellence for Outstanding Children and Zakat Contribution Presentation of 2022.
While 103 UniKL staff were eligible to receive zakat contributions, only 53 recipients could attend the ceremony. UniKL expressed hope that these contributions would alleviate financial burdens, particularly for those with school-going children as the school holidays approached.
As the event concluded, UniKL expressed gratitude to its management, particularly the Human Capital Division, for their efforts in organizing the ceremony. The event underscored UniKL’s commitment to valuing its employees and prioritizing their welfare. Looking towards the future, UniKL expressed fervent aspirations to continue and diversify such appreciation ceremonies, thereby fortifying its position as an institution that not only prioritizes academic excellence but also cherishes the holistic well-being of its invaluable employees.
